Wooden ball birch 50 mm no hole
The wood of the birch (Betula) is light and fine-grained, uniformly yellowish white, reddish white or light brownish in color and has a silky sheen. As a typical color characteristic, the wood has patchy light-dark light effects, which are caused by irregularities in the grain. Older wood may have a yellowish-red to brown false core. It is easy to carve and turn, but difficult to split. The solid wood is also used to make furniture and molded parts (e.g. balls and furniture legs) and is often used as decorative and ornamental wood due to its expressive grain.
Wood is a natural material and may therefore contain knots or slight impurities and discoloration.
