Wooden half ball beech 15 mm raw through hole 2,5 mm

Wooden half ball beech 15 mm raw through hole 2,5 mm

The wood of beech (Fagus sylvatica) is fine-pored and usually evenly grained; it is easy to plan and turn. Due to its great hardness, 34 N/mm² according to Brinell, it is often processed into balls. The bending strength is high, but when dampened the wood is flexible and also very plastic, which is directly related to the short length of the wood fibers. For this reason, beech is often used for curved wooden parts and in cabinetmaking.

Wood is a natural material and may therefore contain knots or slight contamination and discoloration.
